Michael is currently pursuing an MA in History at the University of Oklahoma (Norman, Oklahoma). Michael was awarded a Schusterman Center Graduate Fellowship in Judaic/Israel History. He focuses much of his research on the Holocaust, concentration camps, memory studies, and Nazi Germany. A few of his most recent projects have included the memorialization for victims of the T4 Euthanasia Program in Germany, the life of clergymen inside of the Dachau concentration camp, gender in the concentration camp (a comparison of Dachau and Ravensbrück), and Catholic and Jewish martyrs from both Auschwitz-Birkenau and Dachau. Michael is also working with the Director of the 45th Infantry Museum (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), Dr. Denise Neil, to recreate the Dachau exhibit in their museum. Over the 2021 summer, Michael completed an intensive language course in Yiddish, offered by Tel Aviv University.
