Experiential Learning

Involvement in experiential learning is encouraged for our students. Many students participate in an independent study, a mentored research experience, or honors research under the direction of a HES faculty member. Students also have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience through internship opportunities in areas related to their profession of interest.

Both experiences can be used for course credit that will be applied as HES upper-division electives for students in the HES major.
