Professor Sue Alcock (Classics and Letters) played a part in celebrations for the 700th Anniversary of the founding of Clare College, Cambridge (1326-2026).  She delivered a lecture in March on ‘The Future of Archaeology’ as part of a series of seven lectures by highly distinguished graduates of the College.  Professor Alcock’s associations with Clare include her time as a Clare Mellon Fellow (for graduates of Yale University), as a Junior Research Fellow (the equivalent of a post-doctoral position), and (since 2012) as an Honorary Fellow of the College.
