I am Yuheng Hu, a first-year PhD student in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at the University of Oklahoma. After completing my lab rotations, I have chosen to join Prof. Valentin V. Rybenkov’s lab as my advisor. With a strong background in microbiology, I am eager to integrate this expertise with biochemistry to conduct impactful and innovative research. My interest in chemistry stems from my admiration for the fictional character Sherlock Holmes, whose expertise in chemistry sparked my passion for the field.

Outside of academics and research, my interests include playing video games (such as Valorant and Steam games), traveling, and listening to music.
