I was born and brought up in Kolkata, India also known as the “City of Joy”. I have been always fascinated by molecules and their formation, so I chose to pursue my bachelor’s degree in chemistry, at the University of Calcutta, India. Following that, I pursued my master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India, where I carried my master’s research under Dr. Ashok Kumar Basak. During my master’s I completed a summer project under the supervision of Dr. Indira Ghosh at Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. I joined Sharma Group at OU in Fall 2023. I am working on skeletal editing and nitrene chemistry.
