I joined the Zgurskaya Lab in spring 2023, where I am currently focused on exploring the molecular mechanisms of antibiotic resistance, particularly in the context of RND efflux pumps. My research aims to develop novel methods for antibiotic discovery, with an emphasis on finding new classes of antibiotics to combat resistant bacteria. One of my current projects involves investigating the mechanisms of efflux pump inhibitors and compounds potentially having novel mechanisms of action.
Post-graduation, I hope to continue my work to develop novel antibiotics to address the growing issue of drug-resistant pathogens.
