My name is Lexi Rinne and I’m from Independence, KS. After graduating from Independence High School in 2018, I attended Avila University in Kansas City where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, completed in 2021. My current area of interest is organic chemistry and natural products, but as a first-year graduate student here at OU, I have not yet officially joined a lab. I’m not sure what specifically got me interested in chemistry, just that it had always been my favorite subject in school. At this point in time, I hope to find work as a researcher in medicinal chemistry or natural products discovery after graduating from this program.
