OU Masking Guidelines

Until Further Notice: Masking Expected in ALL Indoor Settings at OU

  • Masking continues to be expected in all indoor settings for all faculty, staff, and students on the Norman campus.
  • Masks will be provided for all participants at the event

Recommended Masks

  • While cloth masks are still permissible on the Norman campus, the university strongly recommends the use of KN95 masks or disposable surgical masks as they provide far greater amounts of protection against Omicron.
    • Layering a surgical mask underneath a cloth mask can also provide some added protection.

Sponsorship

Ready to Run is a nationwide program supported by the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University. In Oklahoma, the program is called Pipeline to Politics and is sponsored by the Carl Albert Center’s Women’s Leadership program, in partnership with CAWP.

The Carl Albert Center is grateful to Pivotal Ventures, an investment and incubation company founded by Melinda French Gates, and the Center for American Women and Politics for supporting the Ready to Run program. This support has allowed us to offer a greatly reduced registration fee and enhance the program experience.

More Info

Pipeline to Politics is a one-day, non-partisan educational program designed for women interested in increasing their involvement in politics and public service. The program’s goal is to address the historic under-representation of women in politics and public life by providing participants with necessary tools to enter, stay in and emerge from the political pipeline.

In this intensive program, women learn about political and leadership opportunities such as running for elected office, working on a campaign or being involved in other important civic affairs. Noted professional consultants and elected officials from both sides of the political aisle lead interactive discussions to help attendees craft successful campaigns. Topics usually include effective organization, communications, fundraising and campaigning strategies.

Whether you are supporting a candidate, launching your own campaign or advocating for an issue, this training is for you!
