Current Finance Announcements:
1. Help support the Beacon! Advertise your business/organization or give financially and prayerfully. 1 Timothy 6:18 "Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share." Hebrews 13:16 "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased".
2. It takes 'great' sacrifice for students to volunteer, pray, and financially support the printing of the BeaconOU. We are completely volunteer led, including myself. We are asking for 22 people to make a commitment to give $10 per edition for the year. That is $80 total for all eight editions. Right now, the printing expense for the 8 issues of a 12 page BeaconOU with 2000 copies is about $2160 for the entire year. That is just the cost of printing, not including the promotional supplies of our organization.
With all of these expenses in mind, you may wonder how we plan to raise the $192.80 to show the Christian films on campus. When I think about the two years of silence that the Beacon had on campus, mainly because of a lack of finances, it should discourage me. Yet, I think of this Scripture, Isaiah 55:9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. God's ways are higher than our ways". I think of everything that God has taught me this past year about producing a great Christian newspaper. Then, I look out on this broad campus and I see students much like I use to be, without Christ. I realize that it is not sufficient for the BeaconOU to be printed on campus or even the Christian films to be shown. It is necessary. We are currently seeking financial support in order to continue printing and extend the outreach of the BeaconOU to include campus showings of spiritually educating films which are listed on the homepage. May God be glorified and His name be KNOWN on this campus.
Brothers and Sisters, be in prayer about the students of OU. Your help is much appreciated in prayer and financial support.
We need faithful financial contributors. Every little bit helps to print the BeaconOU on a consistent basis. If you know of someone who has a heart for college students and a dollar to donate, let them know about what we are doing. For $260 one can sponsor an entire 12-page issue of 2000 copies of the BeaconOU. All of the staff of the BeaconOU are volunteers, including myself. I want to make it absolutely clear that the finances that we need are to actually have the BeaconOU newspaper printed and secondly the films listed below to be shown on campus.
Prayer partners needed
"Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.’" Matt 9:37-38
Pray for us as we seek to reach out to OU students and Faculty through the BeaconOU and media. The OU mission field includes 22,661 students from all 50 states and 1802 international students from 111 foreign countries! OU is a very unique mission field.
Pray for the Holy Spirit to be guiding the steps of these students and preparing their hearts to receive the Word of God.
Thank God for this special opportunity to minister to such a variety of people groups in one place!
Pray for additional workers for the OU harvest. There are many ways that Christians can be actively involved in the lives of others on campus.
Pray that we will be effective and faithful witnesses of Christ's love at OU.

Pray that God would continue to draw people to become part of a faithful financial support team so that the BeaconOU will have all that is necessary to continue printing and begin to show the films on the campus of OU.
