Weather Risk Roulette 5pm to 6pm on august 30th in NWC 1350. "Test your knowledge of SPC outlooks issued since 2006!" (In-person attendance with latptop is strongly recommended.)

(Weather) Risk Roulette

Every Tuesday from 5 pm to 6 pm in NWC 1350.

"Test your knowledge of SPC outlooks issued since 2006!"

(In-person attendance with latptop is strongly recommended.)

Game Description:
Each player will be shown a sample of information from a previous severe weather event. The objective is to determine what risk the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) issued for that event. For each risk level that a player is off, they get 1 point, so the objective is to get the lowest score possible.

This game is a great opportunity to build pattern recognition, learn more about how the Storm Prediction Center works, and learn (and/or remember) about past severe weather events.
