Join the Office of Admissions & Recruitment for our annual Crimson Summit. Learn more about our incredible programs to best assist the students and community you work with. You will be provided with a message from the 15th President of the University of Oklahoma, Joseph Harroz Jr.; learn about helpful resources for your students, engage with OU faculty, staff, and students over lunch and get behind the scenes tours of some of our new spaces/resource offices!

Attendees will receive a special OU item, professional development certificate, and a one-time fee waiver for an applicant to apply to OU. Additional giveaways will be presented throughout the event.

For: High school principals, counselors, advisors, registrars, Indian Education Directors, Tribal Educators, community-based organizations, leaders, transfer institution partners, and superintendents.

8:15 am to 8:50 am - Check in at the Jones Family Welcome Center at Jacobson Hall

Light breakfast refreshments and coffee will be available

9:00 am - Opening Session 

9:05 am - Keynote | OU President Joseph Harroz Jr. 

9:25 am - OU Admissions Overview + Campus Updates 

9:50 am - Session 1

10:40 am - Session 2 

11:30 am - Session 3 

12:15 pm - Lunch & OU Partner Fair 

1:30 pm - Post-Conference Sessions

2:30 pm - Event Concludes 

Attendees will receive a professional development certificate in their thank-you email for attending the event.

Session Options and Descriptions

  • Your Role, Their Future | Financial Readiness with OU Experts:  Join OU’s top experts in scholarships, financial aid, and college affordability for an engaging “ask the experts” panel designed just for you. This session will walk you through the full spectrum of financial resources available to OU students, from freshman year through graduation. Topics include scholarships, grants, Oklahoma’s Promise, non-resident tuition options, and practical strategies for making college affordable for all students.

  • A Head Start with Impact | OU's Concurrent Enrollment Program: Discover how your students can jumpstart their college journey through OU’s Concurrent Enrollment Program. This session will provide an overview of available courses, enrollment options, and the unique benefits of earning college credit in high school. Learn how OU’s program empowers students to gain experience, save money, and explore academic paths, all before high school graduation.

  • Ask a Sooner | Candid Conversations with Current Students: There’s no better way to understand the OU experience than hearing directly from the students living it. In this panel, current OU students share their journeys, challenges, and what makes OU feel like home. You will gain authentic insight into campus life, student support, involvement opportunities, and more, straight from the source. Come hear what it really means to be a Sooner.
  • Beyond the Transcript | Strategic Support for Students with Transfer Credit: Help your students make every credit count. This session dives into transfer credit, transfer admissions, and course transferability at OU. Learn how to guide students on strategic pathways to OU, whether they’re earning dual credit, attending another institution first, or transferring mid-degree. Get the tools you need to guide your students as they take college credit and make an informed decision about their path to OU!
  • Academic Excellence at OU | Firsthand Perspectives from College Deans: Hear directly from the academic leaders shaping the student experience at OU. In this engaging panel, a group of OU’s college deans will share insights into their programs, innovative opportunities, and what sets their colleges apart. You will gain a firsthand look at the academic pathways, research, and hands-on experiences that await students across campus, helping you better guide your students toward success at OU.
  • New to OU? Start Here | OU Admissions Essentials: If you're new to working with the University of Oklahoma, this session is your perfect starting point. Get a comprehensive overview of OU’s admissions process, key deadlines, application tips, and student opportunities. Designed specifically for those newer to the profession, this session will equip you with the essential information to confidently support your students on their path to becoming a Sooner.

Connect with OU's academic programs, student resources, and key campus departments after you enjoy lunch! Enjoy several fun photo ops as well. 

  • Campus Tour: This tour will feature a brief look inside the Oklahoma Memorial Football Stadium and other OU campus highlights.
  • Housing Tour: This tour will focus on the residence hall options for first-year students at OU. We will showcase Cross Village, Couch Center, Dunham Residential College, and the new McCasland Hall.
  • Health Sciences (Pre-Health) Information Session: Explore the world of possibilities for your students in OU’s Health Sciences programs. This session, led by representatives from OU Health Sciences Recruitment and Admissions, will highlight the cutting-edge facilities, internationally recognized faculty, and wide range of degree options available. Learn how OU prepares future health professionals with hands-on experiences and expert guidance every step of the way.
  • I need to leave after lunch: That's okay. We understand! Select this option if your day will need to end after lunch. We will ensure you get back to your vehicle so you can leave campus.
