$4,000


  • $2,000 per semester/$4,000 per year for four years to help offset the costs of fees, books, or housing and food
  • Funded by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and is subject to change
  • Must maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA, be enrolled full time at OU (min. 12 hours/semester), and complete at least 24 OU credit hours each academic year
  • Can be used toward any graduate/professional program at OU if funds remain after completion of undergraduate degree. Student must be admitted to graduate program on own merit.

TUITION WAIVER

  • Waives 100% of resident tuition
  • Must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA, be enrolled full time at OU (min. 12 hours/semester), and complete at least 24 OU credit hours each academic year
  • Scholarship duration will vary depending on how many semesters of eligibility are available
  • Tuition waivers do not stack with automatically awarded OU transfer scholarships
  • Can be used toward any graduate/professional program at OU if funds remain after completion of undergraduate degree. Student must be admitted to graduate program on own merit.

Guidelines for scholarship transfer

  • Students receiving the scholarship as an Institutional Nominee of a two-year college are eligible for transfer to a four-year public or private Oklahoma institution after completion of an associate’s degree or the accumulation of at least 48 credit hours. Institutional Nominees of a two-year college must attend the nominating institution for the first year.
  • Students receiving the scholarship as an Institutional Nominee of a four-year university are eligible for transfer to another Oklahoma institution after one year of attendance at the nominating institution.

Keep in Mind

  • Students who are not approved by the State Regents’ office will be re-evaluated for academic scholarship eligibility.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do I have to take advantage of the scholarship?

You must accept your Academic Scholars scholarship at an Oklahoma college or university as a first-time student the fall semester immediately following your high school graduation date.

Will my scholarship transfer?

Yes. Institutional Nominees are subject to restrictions and will need to consult the program rules for transfer requirements. Please notify the State Regents office as early as possible of your intention to transfer. The institution will not notify the State Regents office.
