I graduated in May of 2024 and have returned to OU's campus as the Pre-College Programs Coordinator in the Office of Admissions and Recruitment. Being from Norman, I thought I knew all that OU had to offer and decided to attend a different university to start my academic career. However, after one year away it was clear that OU would be the university that could provide me with the experiences I desired, so I became a transferred student. Being a transfer student and having a more limited amount of time on campus I joined organizations and made connections to make up for my lost year at OU.
Since my academic journey did not start at OU, I feel very passionate about helping perspective student see the community and support that OU has to offer them. It is very rewarding to support high schoolers in their early college experience and help them find a place on OU's campus.
Take advantage of concurrent courses to learn what our university has to offer you. This is a great way to determine if we are the right fit for you. Reach out to your admissions counselors, they are a great support system.
