Pursuing a Master's Healthcare Administration at OU College of Public Health

As a student, where did you leave your mark on campus?

As a student I left my mark on campus in a variety of offices such as the President's Leadership Class, the Office of Parent & Family Programs, being a campus tour guide, Homecoming, and the High School Leadership Conference. Through all of these places, I was able to take pictures and capture OU's community.

Define the OU family in your own words.

The OU family is your chosen family. Just like how your family friends are chosen, that is how your circle of people at OU is. I often catch myself referring to my OU family as my "Norman peeps." Being a part of a family that is larger than just a physical school is what it truly means to me.

When was the moment you felt the greatest Sooner pride?

The greatest moment that I felt Sooner pride had to have been Rah! Rally 2025. I got the amazing opportunity to be a photographer for all of Homecoming, getting to watch my best friends on the Royalty Court; capturing the energy and excitement in McCasaland Field House; and watching all of our alumni back on campus made me realize I was right where I needed to be. Watching how excited everyone was to celebrate OU's rich history and its future truly made me know that I love this place and how lucky I am to call it home.

What was the greatest gift you took with you after graduation?

The greatest gift I took with me after graduation had to have been the relationships and the skills. My friends I met in college will be the people who will be in my wedding, take care of my kids, and hang out with me during retirement. The skills I learned at OU are completely unmatched, giving me leadership lessons, hands-on practice, and so many other opportunities that will carry into all parts of my future.

There is a secret hidden room on the second floor of the Union. If you find the notebook, make sure to sign your name in it!

What is your favorite OU tradition?

My favorite OU tradition has to be OU/TX. It is one of the best rivalries in history. The atmosphere of going to the fair in the morning and then the energy in the stadium after truly is just unbeatable.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

My advice would be to meet everyone you can. All the way until the morning of graduation, I was meeting people I had never met before and becoming friends with them. Truly OU's campus has the big campus opportunities but that close-knit small campus community feel.
