I graduated from the University of Oklahoma's Price College of Business and joined the Office of Admissions and Recruitment after serving as the Competition Lead for OU Esports. In that role, I dedicated my time to mentoring students and helping them grow both on and off the screen. What I loved most was never really about the game. It was about supporting students and preparing them for what comes next.
With my current role as Orientation & Pre-College Programs Coordinator, I get to help prospective students take their first steps toward OU. It is rewarding to support highschoolers early in their college experience and help them see the community and support that is waiting for them here. I know how much it matters to find your team, and I want every student to feel like they have found theirs at OU.
Find your team and don't be afraid to lean on them. You don't have to have it all figured out. You just have to show up and stay open to learning. Everyone is looking for a place to belong so once you've found yours help the next person find theirs.
