I am a first generation college graduate from Del City High School! I have two degrees, two dogs, and "too" many books on my reading list. I love to meet new people, share stories, and hear about other people's experiences. I believe in the transformative power that higher education can foster in all people. 

I love the University of Oklahoma. I love the campus, the sights and sounds. I love the unlimited chicken nuggets. I love the atmosphere on game days. More than anything though, I love the people here at OU. The staff and faculty are here for two reasons: they want to be excellent and they want you to be too. It's an energy that is addictive and contagious. It is this same energy that drives me to connect with prospective students and incoming freshman alike. I want to be excellent at my job, and I want you to be excellent too! 

Your best advice for a high school junior or senior preparing to apply to college:

The best advice I can think of is to showcase your authentic self through you essays and interviews. This is the worst time to try and be something you're not. Be wholly yourself and that honesty will shine brighter than whatever flaws you think you have. Universities are looking for the best human beings they can find, not the best numbers.
