As a student, where did you leave your mark on campus?

During my time at OU, I was involved in various student organizations where I had the opportunity to hold leadership positions and develop professionally and mentally. My involvement included Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc., 60th President's Leadership Class, Hendersons Scholars, Miracle Mindset, OU Hispanic Royalty, and the Hispanic American Student Association.

Define the OU family in your own words.

To me the OU family is a community of people who cultivate care and support for each other. Since attending OU, the community I have encountered has always uplifted its students to be the best version of themselves they can be. The beautiful thing about the OU family is that it's made up of all kinds of people from different backgrounds who make you feel at home and ensure there is a space for you on campus.

When was the moment you felt the greatest Sooner pride?

The moment I felt the greatest Sooner pride was when I graduated from the University with my Bachelor's degree as a first-generation student. It represents overcoming challenges and achieving a significant milestone for myself and my family. Seeing the outcome of four years of hard work and dedication and being able to share that with my class and my family was truly rewarding.

What was the greatest gift you took with you after graduation?

The greatest gift I took with me after graduation was knowing that I gained lifelong experiences and friendships that will follow me post grad. These gifts have shaped my growth, broadened my perspectives, and provided enduring support. As I move forward, I carry these connections and lessons with me, knowing they will continue to enrich my journey beyond graduation.

Reveal one secret about campus.

Avoid the clock tower at all costs... or don't I never did.

What is your favorite OU tradition?

My favorite OU tradition is OU/Texas weekend and the annual Thomas Rivera Educational Empowerment Conference.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

Do not be afraid to take up space and make your mark on campus! Get involved and find organizations and interests that can benefit you in the long run. Stray out of your comfort zone when possible and allow yourself to grow.
