As a student, where did you leave your mark on campus?

As a student I held several leadership positions in the Black Student Association. This experience is what I feel prepared me the most for life after college. I was able to learn to create budgets, navigate professional meeting, and gained some life long friendships along the way.

Define the OU Family in your own words.

No matter where you go in life, there is a Sooner there to help you. I truly felt like I was a part of the OU family as soon as I came on campus for my first visit. Through graduation, we make sure that you know that you have a support system here to help you succeed. The connections you make here will last forever and thats the true definition of family.

When was the moment you felt the greatest Sooner pride?

There are so many moments but my graduation is the one that sticks out the most. Having all of my family and friends come to Norman and celebrate this accomplishment was an amazing memory. I literally get chills thinking about the moment I walked across the stage.

What was the greatest gift you took with you after graduation?

My time at OU was filled with so many experiences. The amount of growth you gain as a college student is life changing and being at OU made the world of a difference in becoming successful.

Reveal one secret about campus.

The best nap chairs can be found near the Great Reading Room in the library.

What is your favorite OU tradition?

Football game days on campus are the best. You can feel the energy and excitement as soon as you drive into Norman. This is a must experience for every student and their families.

What advice do you have for prospective students?

Get to know your admissions counselor. They can make a huge difference in your OU experience.
