Eligibility

High school juniors and seniors, whether you are a resident of Oklahoma or from another state, are eligible for Concurrent Enrollment at the University of Oklahoma. Review the three eligibility options below.

To be eligible, all students must:

be a high school junior or senior
have a 3.0 unweighted high school GPA
have an ACT, SAT, Pre-ACT, or PSAT score (unless applying test optional)
be eligible to complete requirements for graduation from high school no later than spring of your senior year.
For homeschool and unaccredited high school students only: completed enough high school coursework to be equivalent to an individual who is classified as a junior or senior at an accredited high school.

Option 1

Students must have a 19 ACT in the subject area in which they wish to enroll. For subjects other than math, english or science, they must have a 19 in the reading portion. For the SAT, students must have a 510 Evidence based reading and writing to take any subject other than math or science.
Students must have a 24 ACT (1160 SAT) composite score.

Option 2

Students must have a 19 ACT in the subject area in which they wish to enroll. For subjects other than math, english or science, they must have a 19 in the reading portion. For the SAT, students must have a 510 Evidence based reading and writing to take any subject other than math or science.
Not available to home school or unaccredited high school students.

Option 3

Test optional eligibility is not available for students wanting to participate in the in person OU courses on Norman High School and Norman North High School Campuses.
Not available to home school or unaccredited high school students.

Test Optional

The University of Oklahoma is test-optional, meaning OU does not require applicants to submit standardized test scores. Admissions decisions will still be made for applicants who do not submit test scores. OU allows you to decide if you want your test scores considered in the evaluation of your admission application. When applying for Concurrent Enrollment, the applicant will be asked if they do or do not want standardized test scores used in the evaluation of their application.

Exception Note: Due to OU Regents’ policy, an applicant cannot be considered test-optional for concurrent courses that are taught on the Norman High and Norman North campuses.

Students who are admitted without submitting test scores cannot be guaranteed enrollment or placement in any certain course. Following their admission, test-optional students must take the required assessments through OU to deomonstrate college readiness in a particular subject area. Course Placement

Meeting admissions eligibility does not guarantee course placements. To enroll in a college course, students must meet the following score requirements in the subject area in which they are enrolling.
