Marketing is the study of consumer needs and desires for products and services. It is also the study of the various strategies used to motivate people to buy products and services.
The focus on real-world applications and an award-winning faculty make the Division of Marketing and Supply Chain Management an exciting option for students interested in business sales, development, and management. Marketing students take courses that prepare them for careers that involve retailing, negotiation and selling, international marketing, and new product development. Internships can greatly facilitate the job search process and prepare students for their first jobs. Students are strongly encouraged to do an internship.
A Marketing student graduates with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Advanced degrees include Master of Business Administration, Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. Students can also minor in Marketing.
