Prior Learning Assessment Exams

Prior Learning Assessments are developed by academic departments on the University of Oklahoma campus for students who have been admitted to OU. Upon satisfactory completion, you are awarded credit for the course from the Office of Records and Registration.

• All PLAs are $75 per credit hour, except the one-credit ENGL 1113 PLA exam, which is $100. 
• Exams are given Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
• Please email us at testing@ou.edu with any questions.
• Aviation students must be approved to take AVIA exams before submitting payment through the "Schedule Your Exam" button.

• College of Business majors are not allowed to take the MGT 3013 or the MKT 3013 PLA exam.
• Exams within ECON, MATH, MGT, and MKT require prior authorizations from the department.
