Hometown: Norman, Oklahoma
Sadie comes from an OU family and grew up in Norman where she was surrounded by campus life. She attended OU where she graduated in 2020 with a BA in Letters and Music (Cello). Sadie joined first-year advising in March 2021. She previously worked with Second Wind Coffeehouse, a nonprofit organization on Campus Corner that provides coffee and outreach to the OU and greater Norman community. Sadie loves any hobby related to music, books, and trivia, and she’d love to be on Jeopardy! some day.
I love how Norman feels on graduation weekend in May. Beautiful weather (usually), loved ones in town, and a feeling of celebration in the air – so much fun!
Getting to hear what brought a student to a particular major, interest, or passion. It could be a formative childhood experience, a favorite movie, or even a role model in the student’s life – I love that everyone is so different.
If it seems like everyone around you knows more/is more comfortable/has more friends... it’s not true! It’s so common to feel growing pains in your first year, and you’re not the only one.
