A member of the Human Resources department may be pulled into BIT discussions when active cases involve faculty or staff members. BIT conversations and discussion are confidential, and items discussed regarding faculty and staff are not added to an employee's personnel file unless the employee escalates their behaviors or actions in a way that violates University policies housed within the Faculty or Staff Handbooks.
