I came to OU-Tulsa for residency because of the strong emphasis on the health of individuals and communities and the unique opportunities for leadership development and growth. After serving as chief resident, I chose to stay on as faculty because of the innovation and dedication within our department. I continue to practice in the ambulatory and inpatient settings. As core faculty and medical director of the clinic, I focus on quality care processes and the incorporation of the clinic as a curriculum for learners. I also enjoy teaching patients and engaging them in self-management.
Why OU-Tulsa? The people here are so caring and there is a strong team atmosphere. The environment is one of growth and continual improvement, and we truly are putting every foot forward to really impact our community, which is the core of why I chose Family Medicine in the first place!
