I was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras and graduated from Medical School at the National Autonomous University of Honduras on December of 2003. Subsequently, I pursued a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of San Carlos Guatemala at Roosevelt Hospital in Guatemala City, and graduated in December of 2008. I practiced in the private and public sector in my home country for 5 years before deciding to pursue a residency in Family Medicine in the United States. I had the honor to be elected Chief Resident during my residency here at OU Family Medicine in Tulsa, and I now am a member of their faculty. My main focus is Ambulatory and Family Practice OB with operative skills. I am married to my wonderful wife Yessi, and we have 1 son and another baby girl on the way. My hobbies include cinema and music, and as an amateur drummer, I have a preference for classic rock.
Why OU-Tulsa? The people - the wonderful group of people I worked with during my residency! The support I received at OUFM was if not the best, one of the best professional experiences I’ve had since I started my medical career in 2003. At OU-Tulsa Family Medicine, I found the balance that I have been looking for. I was not fully sure what Tulsa would bring into my life . I can now say it has brought realization, friends, amazing colleagues and a job that I am fond of. I am happy to be here…and we also get the best shows!
