Dr. John Bundren grew up in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where he was an Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Sir Alexander Fleming Scholar during high school. He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, and completed a residency in obstetrics/gynecology and a fellowship in in vitro fertilization (IVF) at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine. During that time, Dr. Bundren delivered the first IVF baby born in the U.S. He has served on the faculty of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and conducted an active IVF practice for more than 30 years. His practice team has been recognized for having some of the country's highest pregnancy rates in past years. Dr. Bundren's clinical and research activities are focused in the areas of assisted reproduction, endometriosis, and mood disorders. The recipient of numerous honors for medical student and resident education. He has also been recognized for service to the Tulsa OBGYN community.
