Dr. Michael Baxter is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine. He received his Doctorate of Osteopathy from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005 and completed a pediatrics residency at the OU School of Community Medicine in 2008 followed by a two-year fellowshi0p in Child Abuse Pediatrics at OU. A member of the medical team at the Children's Justice Center in Tulsa, Dr. Baxter also serves as pediatrician at the Fostering Hope Clinic and Saint Francis Children's Hospital. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics section on child abuse and neglect. He received the Crimson Apple Teaching Award during his residency and was a finalist for the OU Aesculapion.
