Students are eligible to apply for the Bachelor of Education degree completion program at OU-Tulsa after they have:
Each July there will be an orientation with an admissions committee for those who have applied to the program. After the orientation, students are conditionally admitted pending a clear OSBI/FBI background check, and Food Handlers Certificate.
Financial Aid
In order to obtain the Master of Arts in Integrated Childhood Well-Being, students must complete all of the courses in the following four areas: (1) Economic Well-Being, (2) Education, (3) Health and (4) Family and Community, plus the statistics course with the grade of C or better.

*Applicants must have completed a Master’s degree in early childhood, child development, social work, or a related field, and have a minimum of three years experience working directly with children to be eligible for admission.
The master's program on the Tulsa campus is offered in a cohort format which begins each Fall. The application deadline for Fall admission is May 15. The program requires a minimum of 36 semester credit hours of graduate credit and successful completion of a Comprehensive Electronic Portfolio.

Elective Courses (9 credit hours):
Any EACS 5000 or 6000 course outside the major core. A course outside EACS may serve as an elective if approved by the student’s advisor.

Applicants must be accepted by both the program for which they are applying and the Graduate College. Doctoral admissions for the Ph.D. and Ed.D. programs occur simultaneously, allowing applicants to apply for EITHER program. Any applicant who is unsure about the most appropriate program given his or her needs is allowed flexibility in reaching a decision, in consultation with the EACS doctoral admission committee.
The development of research competency is one of the critical features of a Ph.D. program. The student must demonstrate proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
Research Proficiency Requirements
1All research related credits count toward the minimum 95 required for a doctorate in the Department.
2From propaedeutic, a Greek word for the preliminary body of knowledge and rules necessary for the study of some art or science.
3Required research courses from the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in EACS may NOT be used to fulfill this requirement.

Students seeking full admission to a teacher education program must meet the following criteria:
Upon completion of items 1-6 you will be eligible to apply for full admission in the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education. You will be notified by email when the application website opens. Additionally, you will be notified by email of the date and time for your full admission Interview. After your interview and acceptance into the program, you will be notified via email from the One portal when you receive permission to enroll in education courses.
* Can include AP, CLEP, Concurrent Enrollment and Transfer courses. Does not include remedial courses or any course with a number beginning with a 0.
