Executive Board

The AASA Officer Team is elected/appointed in April and serves a one-year term that follows the academic year.  Feel free to contact these officers if you have questions related to their areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities:  presides over all meetings of the Executive Board and General Assembly of AASA at functions where such attendance is required/requested or shall designate a representative. The president shall be responsible for the final scheduling of AASA activities, forming committees and appointing of committee chairs, correspondence pertaining to AASA as an organization and authorization of disbursements and funds when necessary.

Responsibilities:  assists the President in any other manner deemed necessary. In the absence of the President, the vice president shall be in charge of preliminary scheduling of activities on the calendar as well as procurement of proper facilities for AASA functions.

Responsibilities: assists the President in the manner deemed necessary. In the absence of both the President and Vice President of Internal, the Vice President of External shall be in charge. The main duties of the Vice President of External Affairs is to provide programming and facilitate interactions with all non-AASA affiliated organizations and campus partners.

Responsibilities:  responsible for all AASA accounts, updated records of expenses and assets, and disbursements of funds as authorized by the President and account sponsor. The Treasurer shall be required to give periodic reports as to AASA's financial status. The Treasurer is also responsible for the final draft and presentation of the budget, hearings and other related activities.
