PME OKLAHOMA ALPHA CHAPTER "To Promote Scholarship and Mathematics"

Mathematics is the noblest and most ancient of all academic disciplines, requiring creative intelligence, an artistic appreciation for beauty and prefection, and the desire to know truth.

Pi Mu Epsilon is the national mathematics honor society. Our motto is "To Promote Scholarship and Mathematics." The Oklahoma Alpha Chapter fulfills this purpose principally by hosting frequent talks for a general audience, by running a monthly problem solving competition, and by hosting the annual awards banquet.

We accept inductees based on scholastic merit and exhibited interest in mathematics. New members are inducted at the end of the year, at the awards banquet. Our members are both graduate and undergraduate students, whose fields of study span a variety of disciplines.
