Dr. Russell received his Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Iowa in 1982, majoring in human resource management and minoring in applied statistics. He is currently a Professor of Business Administration at the University of Oklahoma where he teaches in the undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. programs. Dr. Russell helped found ePredix, Inc., serving on its scientific advisory board through its merger into PreVisor, Inc, SHL, Inc., and its recent purchase by the Corporate Executive Board, Inc. (CEB). He recently joined efforts with PsychoBabble, Inc. in a new personnel selection system start up. Dr. Russell's research focuses on advancing theory and practice in selection and development of organizational leaders. His work has appeared in:

In 1986 Dr. Russell was awarded the
Ghiselli Award for Research Design by the Society of
Industrial and Organizational Psychology, while in 2003 he was elected a fellow of the
American Psychological Association and Society of Industrial
and Organizational Psychology.
Dr. Russell has acted as an expert witness in Reynolds v.
State of Alabama, Pines v. State Farm, and
Martin v. Mennon. He has also taught over 500 seminars
for private and public sector organizations on human resource
topics including:
