This course is designed to help future
managers understand and use human resources. Students will be exposed to
subject matter drawn from labor economics, psychology, and the law which guide
modern human resource management systems. A partial list of HR practices
covered include employment legislation, job analysis, relevant legislation,
recruiting, selection, compensation administration, labor relations, and
training and development.
Grades will be based on student performance on a midterm and final exam. Each will contribute to the final course grade equally. Exams will consist of a combination of multiple choice and short answer essay questions. Unless otherwise requested, grades will be posted from highest to lowest with the last 4 digits of the student’s ID number as the identifier. Click on the “Grades” heading above to view grades when they are available.
