PAC-GEO

OU’s General Education system is at the heart of the OU experience. OU students take at least 40 hours of general education courses, a full third of their curriculum. The General Education system ensures that OU students have both breadth and depth.

OU’s General Education requirements fulfill the Oklahoma State Regent’s General Education Requirements. OU’s Regents have established our own General Education policy. OU’s General Education system is overseen by PAC-GEO – the Provost’s Advisory Council on General Education Oversight. Its members are appointed by the Provost. PAC-GEO has established a set of requirements and guidelines to help faculty and students understand its processes and standards.
