We are honored to have Shelly Kennedy, MIS ’91 grad and CEO at Shore Cybersecurity, LLC as our keynote speaker.
Shelly has thirty years’ experience in Fortune 100 companies, focusing on Cybersecurity, Technology, and Information Risk and Compliance. She now leads Shore Cybersecurity LLC, a consulting company which provides support to business management about cybersecurity issues. Her business experience across industries as diverse as government, aerospace, energy, education, banking, media and real estate provides clients with a unique depth and breadth of knowledge to help address cybersecurity and information risk problems.
Shelly currently serves on the board of Rutgers University Cybersecurity Certificate program, which offers an immersion program to boost knowledge quickly in the key area of cybersecurity. She also serves as Finance Chair of the ESU of Monmouth County, NJ, a not-for-profit group which fosters understanding and friendship through language programs such as free English conversation tutoring and a national high school Shakespeare competition. For eight years, Shelly served on the Steering Committee of the Shared Assessments Program, a Santa Fe, NM, based think tank through which major banks and financial services companies develop their strategic approach to technology and information risk assessment. Shelly’s team at a major global financial institution won recognition for successfully meeting, in multiple years, the ISO 27000 certification requirements for third-party risk
