Executive MBA in Aerospace and Defense Admissions

The Executive MBA in Aerospace and Defense can be completed in a year with students starting in Fall or Spring thereby allowing them a flexible format to bring together the skills, concepts, and knowledge needed to succeed in the dynamic Aerospace and Defense sector. Through faculty and guest lecturers, rigorous coursework and applied projects the EMAD will provide the foundations for a career in leadership roles in the A&D industry.  

Admissions Deadlines

The application deadline for Fall 2020 admission has been extended to July 15, 2020. Spring 2021 admission is November 15, 2020. 


The non-refundable application fee covers the cost of processing the application. The application fee is $50 for domestic applicants and $100 for international applicants. We do not offer application fee waivers.

Your application will be reviewed once all application materials are received. 

A bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA is required. If your GPA is between a 2.7 -3.0, the admissions committee may suggest that the applicant take an Executive Assessment.

Upload an unofficial copy of your transcript from your last degree-granting institution to the online application and request for an official transcript to be sent to OU.

Provide a copy of an up-to-date professional résumé. Include information about full-time positions, military assignments, and significant part-time or summer work experiences. Résumés should also list education history with dates of attendance and graduation.

As part of the online application, you will be asked to respond to one brief essay question detailing why you want to pursue an MBA at OU and your future career goals (500 words maximum). If you feel there are unaddressed gaps in your educational background or professional experience, you may also submit an optional brief essay (200 words maximum). 

Two letters of recommendation are required as part of the application process.

We recommend students have at least five years of full-time work experience, industry specific preferred.

The admissions committee will contact you via email to schedule the interview at a mutually convenient time. Interviews can be conducted in-office, over Skype/Facetime, or over the phone.

International Students

All international applicants must provide evidence of financial support for their first year of study. Applicants can wait until they have been accepted to proceed with providing this documentation. 

The non-refundable application fee for international applicants is $148. 

International Graduate Admissions

Applicants must submit a transcript from the college or university where they earned their most recent degree in order to be considered for admission.
