The Executive MBA in Aerospace and Defense program prepares students for managerial and leadership roles in the aerospace and defense workforce, even those without a business education. The curriculum, developed and taught by industry leaders and renowned OU faculty, provides students the strength of synthesizing concepts and integrative thinking between A&D functions and business.
The Executive MBA in Aerospace and Defense can be completed in a year with students starting in fall or spring, thereby allowing them a flexible format to bring together the skills, concepts, and knowledge needed to succeed in the dynamic Aerospace and Defense sector. The Executive MBA provides the foundations for a career in leadership roles in the A&D industry through faculty and guest lecturers, rigorous coursework, and applied projects.

Study abroad experience allows participants to engage with aerospace and defense organizations in international locations. Students will travel to select A&D organizations chosen for their breadth of A&D business activities to engage in real-world projects.

Participants in the Executive MBA in Aerospace and Defense (EMAD) program can finish in a single year while continuing to work. Students will acquire a broad range of aerospace and defense business knowledge and a deep understanding of the industry. The average time commitment is about 20 hours per week for readings and assignments. Assignments relate directly to the work participants perform to help students best retain and immediately apply new concepts.
Approximately 40% of the program’s teaching occurs during three one-week residence weeks (RWs). Two of the RWs take place at the University of Oklahoma, with the third being a study abroad experience that allows participants to engage with aerospace and defense organizations in other locations. The remaining 20 credits of the program are earned during distance-learning classes worth two hours each, held between the RW sessions.

Tuition and fees for the program are $68,800 ($2150 per credit hour). Books and additional materials are not included.
Once accepted into the program, students must submit a $350 nonrefundable deposit within two weeks. Deposits are applied toward tuition expenses and secure a student’s place in the upcoming class. There is no application fee for this degree.
