NORMAN, OKLA. – Two programs in the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma have been recognized as University Affiliated Programs by the CFA Institute. The CFA, or Chartered Financial Analyst, designation is widely regarded as the highest standard in the investment management profession and will enhance the online Master of Science in Finance and Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance programs at OU.
“This recognition highlights OU’s dedication to providing top-tier finance education, equipping students with the skills and knowledge to excel in today's investment management field,” said TingTing Jia, Ph.D., director of the asset management track in the Price College of Business.
As a member of the University Affiliation Program, OU has demonstrated that at least 70% of the CFA Candidate Body of Knowledge has been embedded into its finance curricula. This designation gives the Price College of Business global recognition and respect, adds credibility and prestige to associated programs, and proves that OU graduates have received ethics-based investment education and are prepared for CFA exams.
This affiliation also grants OU students access to scholarships that cover costs associated with the CFA program and exam registration. Carrying a CFA affiliation provides OU students the opportunity to network with finance professionals in the finance industry, leading to potential internships, jobs and career advancement opportunities.
“Being a CFA affiliated institution ensures that our students receive education with a balance of textbook theories and practical, industry-relevant knowledge and skills, and exposures to global perspectives and international standards, making them ‘day one ready’ for a career,” Jia said.
