University Club to Open Doors

to all OU Community

Nov. 28, 2018

Starting January 2019, everyone at the University of Oklahoma will be able to enjoy a fine dining experience without the fine dining price at the Jan Marie and Richard J. Crawford University Club, located on the second level of the Oklahoma Memorial Union.

The restaurant recently began accepting mobile carry-out orders from the Tapingo app, and soon will open its doors to students, staff and faculty – anyone with a university identification card. Patrons will be able to pay with cash or credit, and students with meal plans and points will be able to redeem them at the U Club.

Traditional memberships are still available, with members enjoying unique access to game day and other special events. Departmental memberships will continue uninterrupted as well.

In the new concept, the U Club will still be available for special events and parties as well as provide a layout that offers family style seating options as well as private seating. The famous lunch buffet will still be available, as will table service.

The new concept for the club will take about two months to bring to life, so from Nov. 21 to Jan. 22, 2019, the club will be closed for lunch. Holiday parties and receptions will continue uninterrupted, as will new bookings of private dinners and events. During that time, the menu will be revised with an eye to offer less expensive meal options without losing quality.

Look for the grand opening the week after classes begin for the spring semester, Jan. 22, 2019.
