Social Entrepreneurship

The Ronnie K. Irani Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth's programs, such as the SocEnt internship and The Mine Fellowship, take projects from NGOs and socially-focused organizations based in the U.S. and abroad and work to expand their social impact. Past projects have focused on creating sustainable affordable products that serve the poor, crafting expansion plans for NGOs looking to scale impact, and planning pilot programs for sustainable non-profits.

Many of these projects have global implications, serving underprivileged populations all across the developing world. In terms of social impact, the Social Entrepreneurship program at I-CCEW has contributed to the creation of new jobs that pay living wages, aided global literacy efforts, addressed some of the most pressing health crises in the poorest parts of the globe, and funded innovative new ventures that had no other access to capital.
