LGBTQ Program Advisory Board
The LGBTQ Program Advisory Board works to build a welcoming and affirming campus by creating programs focused on growing a culturally rich campus through LGBTQ community awareness, social justice and diversity education, and leadership opportunities.
The LGBTQ+ Program Advisory Board, serves as the programming arm of the Gender + Equality Center’s LGBTQ+ Programs. Any student (undergraduate or graduate) are welcome to apply!
The goal of the LGBTQ+ Program Advisory Board is that all students feel safe, included, and empowered to succeed at the University of Oklahoma. We will reach this goal by maintaining an intersectional lens as we foster LGBTQ+ leadership, provide opportunities for community, and build awareness of LGBTQ+ issues on campus.

Programs & Events
Throughout the academic year, the LGBTQ Program Advisory Board and LGBTQ Ally coordinate events that are open to the entire campus community. We are always creating new events, collaborating with other organizations, and bringing in different speakers; but some of our staple events include Queer Tour, LGBTQ Ally Meet & Greet, Coming Out Day, Monthly Lunch & Learns, LGBTQ Health Week, Candlelight Vigil, Progressive Dinner, and Ally Appreciation Week. Whether you are looking for social or educational opportunties, LGBTQ Programs has something for you. To stay up to date on upcoming events, join the GEC email list or follow us on social media @GEC4OU.
