The Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication supports students through scholarships, study abroad, and emergency funding. The requirements for the scholarships and funding are merit and financially based. In the 2024 fall semester, Gaylord College awarded approximately $400,000 in scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students.

Apply for funding through
the Student Experience Fund
The Student Experience Fund is for students with demonstrated financial need who need support to participate in travel-related and other experiential learning activities in Gaylord College. Please note that a limited amount of funding is available and is not guaranteed.
Funding is awarded to students based on documented, unforeseen financial need.
OU Student Relief Fund (SRF) provides assistance to students who face natural disasters, theft of personal property, death in the family, and a variety of other circumstances.
