Massage therapy helps increase joint flexibility, reduce stress and muscle swelling, recover from workouts, stretch your muscles and it is relaxing. The Sarkeys Fitness Center offers three types of massage therapy: Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Sport. Our certified massage therapists are here to help you relax and take time for yourself.

Sessions must be paid for two business days in advance. Gift certificates are available. If you have a gift certificate, you may schedule your massage over the phone, or stop by the Sarkeys Fitness Center front desk. Appointments are available Monday through Sunday.

Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to ease muscle tension and promote relaxation. If this is your first time getting a massage, a Swedish massage is recommended.
A deep tissue massage uses the same technique as Swedish massage but more intense pressure is used to aim at deep tissue structures in the muscle. Deep tissue massages are good for pain management and injury recovery.
Sport massages are great for anyone with chronic pain, injury or range of motion issues. You do not have to be an athlete to get a sport massage. A sport massage is similar to a Swedish massage, but uses trigger point therapy to break down adhesions in the muscle.
