What is the "Curriculum Library"?
The Zarrow Families Professional Services Center, also known as the Curriculum Library contains all Oklahoma state-adopted textbooks and curriculum materials for grades K-12. We are open to the general public. The materials in our collection are reference only.
Most of our visitors are Education students, school teachers, and parents. Education students use our collection to learn about the various kinds of curriculum materials and the different approaches to teaching. Teachers browse when they want fresh ideas for teaching a particular subject. Parents visit when they want to learn more about their children's education or when they want ideas for helping their children to learn.
Oklahoma adopts new textbooks every year on a six-year schedule that rotates by subject. We update the curriculum library's collection accordingly. For instance, in fall 2013, we received new Social Studies and Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth-grade Reading and Language Arts materials which will be in effect July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2019. In the fall of 2017 we received new PreK-12 Mathematics textbooks (effective dates: July 1, 2018-June 30, 2024); and so forth. For the complete subject rotation schedule, click on "subject cycle."

The University of Oklahoma Curriculum Library is typically open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Additional Curriculum Review Sites
The OU Curriculum Library is just one of Oklahoma's nine Congressional District Review Sites. The following institutions also have review sites containing the same materials as the OU Curriculum Library.
The Graduate Student Senate (GSS) represents every graduate student enrolled in any of the programs offered by the Graduate College at the University of Oklahoma, giving them an official voice. Additionally, each year a substantial portion of the SGA budget is allocated to GSS for two important initiatives: Awards and Grants.

The Sandra L. O'Brien Collaborative Learning Hub is available to students, faculty, and staff of the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education for academic, research or personal use.
The hub has Mac and Windows desktops set up and ready for use as well as a number of other useful electronics available for checkout to assist in your learning and research activities. Items available for checkout include laptops (Mac & PC), iPads, digital camcorders, lighting kits, wireless microphones, headphones, voice recorders, projectors, screens, iPad accessories (JustStand, Swivl), misc. adapters for iPads, Macs, & PC laptops, Apple TVs, slide advancers, clickers, charging cables, etc. All equipment checkouts must comply with the college equipment checkout policy (Download equipment checkout policy here (DOC). The computers available in the hub have a large variety of production, creativity, and research software installed to meet your needs.
Printing
Students that are taking a JRCoE class during the current semester and paying Education technology fees are given 300 free prints during the semester, good only in the Sandra L. O’Brien Collaborative Learning Hub, with an option to purchase additional prints after the free prints are depleted. The college's printing system is not part of the OneCard system so printing credits are not interchangeable.

Oklahoma Aspiring Educators Association
The OU Oklahoma Aspiring Educators Association (OAEA) is a pre-professional organization of undergraduate and graduate students preparing for careers in education. As a member of OAEA, students are affiliated with the Oklahoma Education Association, an educational professional association representing nearly 35,000 members in the state. OAEA members are also part of the National Education Association, the largest education association in the nation. The OU OAEA chapter provides support with job interviewing skills, resume writing, classroom management, and other vital educational information and issues.
Kappa Delta Pi
Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education, is an honor society for education. It was founded in 1911 and was one of the first discipline-specific honor societies. Inclusion is by invitation.
The purpose of the OU Gamma Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi shall be to promote excellence in and recognition of outstanding contributions to education. Kappa Delta Pi shall endeavor to maintain a high degree of professional fellowship among its members, to quicken professional growth, and to honor achievement in educational work. To these ends, it shall invite to membership persons who exhibit commendable professional qualities, worthy educational ideals, and sound scholarship, without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, or disability.
