Yuenjung Joo received her doctoral degree in Child, Youth and Family Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Before coming to the University of Oklahoma, she worked with children aged three to five in South Korea and the U.S. as a teacher and director for nine years. As a researcher and teacher educator, her research has focused on (1) improving early childhood classroom quality, especially teacher-child interaction in child-led activity settings, to enhance children’s learning experiences, (2) early childhood teacher beliefs about children’s learning, and (3) child social-emotional learning intervention.
