DISC has launched a new fellowship opportunity for current postdoctoral researchers. Our DISC Postdoctoral Fellowship aims to support OU postdoctoral researchers in their research and professional development toward their career goals. Each award will be up to $5,000. The fellowship opportunities are now open for FY25.
A postdoctoral researcher can only be awarded one DISC fellowship per year.
Please submit a two-page summary of the proposed work to jimeney2@ou.edu by the following deadlines using the template below or another template as appropriate.
Please include a brief description of how you plan to use the funds (no indirect cost). Proposals that do not include this information will be rejected without review.
The number of awards: DISC will award three fellowships total of up to $5,000 each in Spring 2025. Summer opportunities will also be available.
What can the funding be used for?
The funds can be put towards the following activities: open-access publication fees, conference or research travel, conference registration fees, team-building meetings or workshops, stakeholder engagement/outreach, undergraduate research support, and acquiring or collecting pilot data. How long do I have to use the funds?
You will have one year to use the funds. A DISC mentor will meet with you regularly to develop a timeline for your fellowship, clarify the reporting requirements, support your progress, and answer additional questions.
