Dr. Chongle Pan is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Microbiology. His research is focused on bioinformatics (e.g., metagenomics, proteomics and predictive genomics) and machine learning (e.g., medical imaging analysis and biomedical text processing). As a DISC Faculty Fellow, Pan supports data science activities in bioinformatics and medical applications of machine learning and helps other OU researchers to develop competitive bioinformatics and machine learning strategies in their grant applications to NIH, NSF BIO and DOE BER. Pan supports the Data Scholarship Program and other outreach activities to broaden the data science education among OU undergraduate and graduate students.
