Welcome to a web site developed to help Public Affairs offices design and operate Web pages on the internet. Part of the Department of Defense link to Public Affair's offices worldwide, this site is a thoughtful model that is based on communication research developed at the University of Oklahoma DoD Joint Communication Course.
Before designing Web pages or sites a designer must answer questions concerning the target audience, the site's purpose, the site's objective, and the concise information to be included.
Text and graphics on Web pages are composed using criteria from two categories: content and design. Content is the information placed within the site. Design represents the presentation of that information.
