Dean of OU College of Architecture Named a Top 25 Educator

Charles Graham, Dean of School of Architecture, is recognized as a top 25 educator in America.

Norman - Charles Graham, dean of the University of Oklahoma College of Architecture, was recently named one of 25 Top Educators in America by DesignIntelligence, the Design Futures Council’s bimonthly report on industry news.

“Dean Charles Graham richly deserves this national recognition,” said OU President David L. Boren. “He has made an immeasurable contribution to the strength of the College of Architecture.”

Each year, DesignIntelligence honors excellence in education and education administration by compiling input from thousands of professionals, academic leaders and students to recognize 25 individuals for their dedication to their discipline and to their students.

OU College of Architecture Associate Dean Richard Ryan described Graham as “an active participant in the profession of architecture at the state level who continually strives to bring together and strengthen all of the design colleges. The OU College of Architecture is privileged to have him at our helm and all the staff, faculty and students congratulate him on this well-deserved award.”

Graham, who joined OU as dean in 2008, is the third member of the College of Architecture to be included in DesignIntelligence’s Top Educators in America list in the last two years. Named to the list in 2014 were associate professor of architecture Stephanie Pilat and architecture division director Hans Butzer.
