By joining the Union Programming Board, you're joining a different kind of programming group. We not only bring concerts, movies and social activities but also work with other campus organizations to bring national speakers, leadership seminars and other developmental opportunities. If you want to help out with something as simple as serving popcorn before our free movies or perhaps create and plan a new event for the OU campus, we'll help you find your place.
UPB Executive Director Application
WHO CAN APPLY? Any student who would be enrolled full-time at the University of Oklahoma for the 2017-2018 academic year (12 hours per semester for undergraduate students and 6 hours per semester for graduate students). Previous experience in the Union Programming Board is NOT required for application to the executive committee.
SELECTION PROCESS? The Union Programming Board officers are slated by the Union Programming Coordinator (a full-time staff position) and a panel typically comprised of current UPB officers and graduate assistants after individual interviews. Any student who completes the application and meets the qualifications will receive an interview. Interviews will be held March 6 & 7.

*All applicants must attend a MANDATORY applicant meeting on either February 26 or February 27 from 8-8:30 PM in the Pioneer Room (2nd Floor – Union).
**On Feb. 27 from 8:30-10 PM on the fourth floor of the Union, the Union Programming Board staff will be available for any questions you may have regarding the application. This is not required, simply an opportunity if you have questions.
How Do You Become a Member?
Becoming a member is as simple as attending a meeting or volunteering at an event. You show up, and you’re in! Show up a few times and you’ll get a T-shirt and more FREE stuff. We have open meetings every other Wednesday night at 9 p.m. in the Union. Come by whenever you like to learn more and get involved, whether it’s the very first meeting of the year or the last. You determine your level of involvement.
UPB Member Interest Meetings
UPB interest meetings are held every other Wednesday night at 9 p.m. and are a great way to learn more about getting involved with the Union Programming Board. At the meetings, you will hear all of the opportunities to get involved with UPB events, develop your leadership skills, and meet new people.
