The SafeRide program provides safe, free taxi and bus transportation to OU students within the Norman city limits. The program operates from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays to offer OU students safe transportation at the end of their evening.

We're here to help. Student Affairs offers many services to create a safe and healthy environment, including, but not limited to the Behavioral Intervention Team, OU Advocates and the University Counseling Center.

Bike Share Name Contest

The OU Student Government Association (SGA) and Parking and Transportation Services will launch the University’s first-ever bike share program through Gotcha Bikes. But first, they need your help to create the program name.

Students, Faculty and Staff!

Between Friday, Dec. 2 and Friday, Dec. 9, share your creative ideas for the bike share program name and a chance to WIN an Asp Avenue Parking Facility Spring 2017 reserved parking permit.

To enter your program name into the contest, email SGA. The winner* will be announced Finals Week! Want to see how your name would look? Design with the Gotcha Bike designer at

*Faculty / Staff win a faculty/staff permit at an adjusted rate.

You are Welcome Here!

OU students are welcome to use the Student Affairs Jan Marie Crawford conference room during "Student Community Hours." There will be food, drinks, music, TV, and a computer provided, and hopefully lots of students to chat with during these blocked hours. We hope you can make it! Students are always WELCOME, and who knows...maybe a drop-in from the University Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, Clarke Stroud!

In light of incidents on other campuses and to further enhance responsiveness, the University of Oklahoma has established a 24-hour Reporting Hotline.  The hotline will serve as an added protection for OU students, handling reports of bias, discrimination, physical or mental harassment or misconduct by OU community members.  The 24-hour Reporting Hotline can be accessed by calling 844-428-6531.
