ENGAGING PARENTS & FAMILIES
NEW: PARENT & FAMILY PROGRAMS
New parents and family members, welcome to the OU Family! Current parents and family members, we are so happy to have you. As part of your student’s support system, your role is critical to their success from orientation through graduation. Student Affairs, on behalf of the University, is eager to partner with you in that effort - providing resources, support, and opportunities to connect your family to the diverse range of experiences available at OU.
Meet our newest Student Affairs team member,
Tracy Carlson, Parent & Family Programs Coordinator.
Tracy is excited to be the University's official liaison
with our students' parents, families and/or guardians.
"The Sooner Parent Inaugural event was incredible!
So informative, fun, and brilliant...the staff, the topics, and the overall bonding experience
is integral to our initiation / orientation into the OU family. Thank you so much!
...We are just beyond thrilled and impressed! We feel so much better about our
one and only being dropped off on August 17 for his new Sooner Life!"
- Jamie Fitzgerald (Incoming Sooner Parent)

STUDENT LEGAL SERVICES
MEET: Tracey Langford, Student Legal Services Attorney
Tracey graduated in 2004 from the Oklahoma City University School of Law. After completing a competitive internship program, Tracey began her career at the Oklahoma County Public Defender's Office, representing indigent clients who would otherwise have no voice in the criminal justice system. Tracey went into private practice in 2007 and continued to work primarily in the areas of family and criminal law, as well as probate and civil litigation. In November 2016, Tracey joined the Student Government Association team as the Student Legal Services Attorney.

24-HR REPORTING HOTLINE
In light of incidents on other campuses and to further enhance responsiveness, the University of Oklahoma has established a 24-hour Reporting Hotline. The hotline will serve as an added protection for OU students, handling reports of bias, discrimination, physical or mental harassment or misconduct by OU community members. The 24-hour Reporting Hotline can be accessed by calling 844-428-6531.
